Nightshade is a secure digital working environment that can be deployed wherever operations demand. Designed for Armed Forces, Defence and National Security organisations, it enables personnel to communicate, share information and coordinate effectively from headquarters to the tactical edge, ensuring mission continuity wherever the mission takes them.
Nightshade capabilities:

Provide a rapidly deployable and transportable space for temporary working with classified information up to TS

Deliver within 14 weeks of order, with full assurance case in accordance with UK Ministry of Defence PSyA requirements

Offer a capability that can expand from a single ISO footprint to a multi-ISO footprint to meet user space requirements

Configure the space in a range of designs to suite end user needs: meeting room, office, lab, network room, and provide fitted for IT or with IT included

Offer a ‘Swing Space’ to maintain operations during traditional wet builds as well as temporary deployments for ‘off-site’ testing

Offer remote monitoring should local guarding not be possible

Configure for compatibility with other Leonardo solutions such as SHADOW where the user requires local secure IT and doesn’t have this available at site, or HEIMDALL where additional assurance is required for the management of Personal Electronic Devices.
Manufacturing and Support
HS Infra has entered into a manufacturing agreement with Leonardo for the design, manufacture and maintenance support of NIGHTSHADE facilities. The agreement builds upon the strong relationship between the two organisations and combines Leonardo’s expertise in defence and security technologies with HS Infra’s proven capability in the delivery of high-security, mission-critical infrastructure. Through this partnership, HS Infra is responsible for manufacturing NIGHTSHADE facilities to exacting quality, security and operational standards, ensuring customers receive a robust and dependable capability that is ready to support demanding operational environments.
The agreement provides customers with the confidence of a fully integrated UK-based delivery model, covering everything from design and manufacture through to ongoing maintenance and support. By combining Leonardo’s innovative NIGHTSHADE concept with HS Infra’s specialist manufacturing expertise, customers benefit from a secure, scalable and rapidly deployable solution that can be tailored to operational requirements while reducing the time, cost and complexity traditionally associated with delivering secure infrastructure. The partnership ensures that NIGHTSHADE facilities are supported throughout their operational life, providing long-term resilience, flexibility and value for defence, government and critical national infrastructure organisations
